GPC Pet Products Expands Direct Response Campaign

GPC Pet Products of Muscatine, Iowa, has expanded the "direct response" marketing campaign for its World's Best Cat Litter brand to include magazines, newspapers and the Internet.

The "Buy the Best. Or Smell the Rest" campaign, which is slated to run through September, was originally comprised of one- and two-minute television spots that refer consumers to one of several URLs, such as www.getworldsbest.com, where they can learn more about World's Best Cat Litter products and download a rebate coupon.

Due to the success of the campaign, GPC expanded the initiative in June to include corresponding print ads in lifestyle publications and free-standing inserts in more than 400 newspapers nationwide. In addition, online banner ads will run on lifestyle, pet and women's websites, providing links to the mail-in rebate offer.
