Pet Sitters International Welcomes Nominations for Annual Award

Pet Sitters International (PSI), a King, N.C.-based association for professional pet sitters, is calling on pet owners, pet-sitting peers and pet industry professionals to nominate pet sitters for the 2010 Pet Sitter of the Year award.

The Pet Sitter of the Year award recognizes a PSI pet sitter who, according to the association, "embodies the heart, soul and professionalism of the pet-sitting industry."

Nomination forms for the Pet Sitter of the Year award may be downloaded from the PSI website, www.petsit.com. The nomination deadline is Friday, October 15, 2010.

The 2010 Pet Sitter of the Year award is sponsored by Business Insurers of the Carolinas.

Established in 1994, PSI represents nearly 8,000 independent professional pet sitting businesses in the U.S., Canada and abroad. The first Pet Sitter of the Year award was presented by PSI in 1995. Cara Armour, owner of Active Paws in Watertown, Mass., is the 2009 Pet Sitter of the Year award recipient. <HOME>
