The 9th edition of Pet South America from 6 to 8 October in Sao Paulo is the main products and services fair for the pet and veterinary segments in Brazil, with over 200 exhibitors and suppliers. 95 per cent of the 30 000 m² exhibition area in the Expo Center Norte is already sold out. According to the organiser, Nürnberg Messe Brasil, visitors to this year's show will find a number of innovations.
One new feature for 2010 is that there are two large simultaneous congresses bringing scientific knowledge to veterinary doctors from Brazil and abroad. These congresses, the 8th Conpavet – the Sao Paulo Veterinary Medicine Congress and the 10th Conpavepa – Congress of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine Sao Paulo, are being staged by the SPMV (Sao Paulo Veterinary Medicine Society) and by Anclivepa-SP (Small Animal Clinical Veterinarians).
In all the organiser expects around 20 000 visitors on the two days of the fair. A survey conducted by Nürnberg Messe Brasil in 2009 showed that 95 per cent of visitors, who came for example from Argentina, Germany, China and the United States, were highly satisfied with the quality of the fair. 97 per cent intended to return this year.
