Trixie to supply the French market directly

With a current staff of 292 full-time employees, German company Trixie exports its products to distribution partners in 66 countries on all five continents. As of 1 June, France is the only market apart from Germany in which stores are to receive supplies directly from Trixie.

Following the sale of the distribution arm of its former distributor Adax to Zolux in March this year, the German accessories supplier has had to review its distribution in France. "We received several interesting inquiries to take over the Trixie distribution, but once we got deeper into the French pet market we found that the high level of competition suggested that a direct supply from Germany could be another reasonable alternative for us," says general manager Volker Haak.
