Fressnapf management expansion

Jan 29, 2011

Since 4th January, a new managing director started his work at Fressnapf's headquarters. As Chief Operations Officer (COO), Stephan Tendam is responsible for the divisions logistics, IT, supply chain management, processes and organisation, reporting directly to Fressnapf CEO Torsten Toeller. The 42 year old business economist brings with him many years of experience gained in leading roles in the Tchibo Group, where he was latterly responsible for supply chain management and logistics as managing director of Tchibo Logistik GmbH.

Fressnapf had already rearranged its organisational structure in April of last year, clearing the way for the new management division. The aim of adding the supply chain division to company management is to boost potential in the value chain. Insofar, Stephan Tendam will create new supply chain management structures and optimise the passage of products from manufacturer, through logistics and storage, to stores and end consumers, both nationally and internationally. "We are delighted that, in Stephan Tendam, we have gained a supply chain management professional," Torsten Toeller says.

The management of the Fressnapf Group, which generates an annual turnover of over one billion euros with more than 10,000 employees in Europe, currently consists of:

• Torsten Toeller (Chief Executive Officer)

• Marc Lukies (Chief Regional Officer)

• Johannes CroĆ© (Chief Regional Officer)

• Martin Luntscher (Chief Financial Officer)

• Michael Brackmann (Chief Purchasing Officer)

• Stephan Tendam (Chief Operations Officer)
